Overcoming, or at least learning how to cope with, a phobia is a very empowering thing. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been afraid of bees. Really afraid. But I decided about six years ago that I really wanted to walk through this field of flowers. And at that moment I pushed through my fear. So now this morning, I sit outside enjoying the beautiful day in California. I hear a buzz go by my ear. And in that moment I stop and appreciate the value of this little creature. I sit here watching him pollinate the Agapanthus flower. And I send gratitude to him for working so hard and keeping nature and balance. I must admit, this feels far better than running.
