Good morning, Blacktail Deer

Good morning, Blacktail DeerThose are some mighty big ears to grow into!

What a fantastic gift to see this sweet face outside our window this morning. I love this time of year when the air turns cooler and the blacktail deer spend more time close by.

We often have a small herd of 2-5 of these lovely beings grazing and resting in our neighborhood. We’ve seen as many as 7 in one spot feeding on the berries and other flora. They’re acclimated to people, yet fully maintain their wild instincts. There’s no getting close or petting happening. We keep the physical admiration at a reasonable distance.

It always takes my breath away when I catch sight of these deer and other local wildlife. I feel so fortunate to live in this truly amazing place.

In a world that makes it far too easy to hurry along, the real miracles of life are right here for us to appreciate. We need only take the time to see them.

Wishing you moments of pleasant surprises and gifts of joy!

Love and light,

Love, Stacey
