If I Could Fly

Felt the words and let them flow. As a teenager, I wrote tons of poems. I still make up rhymes all the time. Glad I put this one down on paper. When I was a young girl, I would stand in the backyard staring at the sky. I’d dream of flying, wings spread wide, exploring the world through a bird’s eye view. Everything is quite literal when we’re children. Now, I see it another way, too.

Flying is the freedom from constraints to see and do and be and have all that we really want.

And we can do it for real. Flying takes shape in infinite ways. When we push through and do the things we feel compelled in our soul to create and share. Visualization helps me turn those dreams and ideas into actions., in small and big ways every single day.

May your dreams guide you. Wishing you love and light.

Love, Stacey

If I could fly poem

If I could fly
where would I go
What would I see
I don’t quite know
I’d spread my wings
and soar up high
Exploring the vastness
of the bluest sky
Why think of such whimsy
a waste of time, no
For only through dreaming
we truly let go
It’s imagining the what-ifs
that inspire and ignite
Everything is possible
when our mind takes flight.
